Our Business Spotlight this week is Service Cleaners Inc.

Service Cleaners offers a wide variety of services, including professional dry cleaning, wash and fold, wedding gown cleaning, stain removal, and alteration services.

History is a major part of Service Cleaners being one of the oldest still operating businesses within the city. Grant Southern originally opened Service Cleaners at its longtime location on Mercer Street in 1946. Since that time, the business has gone through a multitude of ownership changes. Vicki Bridges took over Service Cleaners in 2017 and has since done research to track down previous employees who can offer knowledge of the longstanding history of the business. In 2019, Service Cleaners moved to its new location at 1023 Princeton Ave.

There are no other professional dry-cleaning services in the southern part of West Virginia, making Service Cleaners a necessity for both Princeton and the surrounding communities stretching from Bluefield to Beckley and including everything in between. In the words of Vicki Bridges, Service Cleaners strives to be a “lighthouse to the community” by “servicing the community” with more than just clean clothes.
